On Sunday, August 25th, the Leader of the Opposition, Michael O’Brien, came to the Replas Environmental Centre to learn more about Replas and recycled plastic products. Taken around the facility by Replas Chairman Des Benjamin and Sales and Marketing Director Mark Jacobsen, the three spoke about the importance of creating the Circular Economy and finding a home for the plastics created in Australia. Michael O’Brien talked about his visit saying, “I believe that we have a responsibility to deal with our plastic waste and that Government should lead by example. Replas turns plastic waste into long lasting products such as benches, bollards, walkways and signposts. Doesn’t it make sense to see our plastic waste turned into something useful instead of being sent to landfill?” Thank you Michael for being an advocate for recycled plastic products!
