On the 24th of July we had a group of teachers from St Bernard’s College tour the Replas Environmental Centre as part of their professional development. The teacher’s described being “blown away” by the information presented. They learnt a lot about the plastic recycling crisis, the scale of the problem and what we could all be doing to help. The teacher’s had a range of understanding of the impact of plastic, some were already living a zero waste lifestyle, while others had never given plastic use much thought. The teacher’s all left with a new determination to share the plastic recycling message with their school.
